This past Sunday we held a graduation party for our son at a local paintball establishment. It was 89 degrees, sunny and extremely hot. With all the added long sleeve and long pants everyone had on for extra protection, it made for an exhausting day for everyone. Although, everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
In between every playing field they reloaded their guns and themselves with water.
After four hours of playing it was time to eat. Thankfully they had canopies set up for us to sit under and enjoy everyone’s company.
It was a great turn out and we want to thank everyone for sharing this occasion with him.
My son requested these bars for his graduation party, and I was not surprised. Ever since I found the recipe on the back of the marshmallow bag years ago, he has requested these for every occasion possible. He loves them. They are super easy and fast.
Four Layer Bars
1 pkg. (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick)butter or margarine, melted
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup cocktail peanuts
Preheat your oven to 375.
Mix the cake mix, egg and melted butter together to make the crust.(Do not add the cake ingredients on the back of the box)
Spread onto the bottom of a sprayed 9×13 baking dish.
Bake this crust for 16-20 minutes.
When its finished take it out, and top with the marshmallows, peanuts and chocolate chips.
Return it to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the marshmallows begin to puff.
Remove and let it cool completely before trying to cut into servings.
NOTE: For easier cutting, spray your sharp knife with non stick cooking spray a few times.
