How are you all doing with January’s Health Challenge of eating two whole pieces of fruit per day? As for me, I am doing pretty good. I may have missed a day or two but some days I made up for it and ate more than two pieces. Ultimately, I would call it fairly even. I am really looking forward to ending this month and taking on the challenge for February. This one you all may find much more difficult. Although, that is what makes it a challenge and something to strive for.
If I have any readers following along that enjoy hiking as much as I do you may want to check out a book I have been reading. Hikertrash by Erin Miller is a winner so far. I can remember being in the same mind set as this couple a few times in my life while on a trail. It’s the perfect book to be reading so close to a big hiking trip for us.
Another thing you may find amusing is that the three year old I care for everyday keeps reminding me that snakes live in the desert. She thinks this is quite funny since she is well aware that I dislike snakes. However, she always adds that desert snakes are friendly. Like that fact will help ease my fear of these creatures.
Let’s move onto food. Have you tried the new almond milk coffee creamer called Califia Farms? I am a coffee creamer lover and let me tell you this is terrific. It comes in four different flavors, is low in calories, and will give you a good reason to get out of bed on a cold morning.
Well, I suppose that’s all for this week. Weekend plans consists of some gym workouts, menu planning, and good ole grocery shopping. Doesn’t it sound like I lead a wonderful excitement filled life on the weekends? Don’t get me wrong, come summer time and I will have every weekend booked so right now, I can deal with boring routine weekends.
